Our Story
131 Years of Community
The Neighbors of Kenilworth was founded on February 15, 1895, when Mrs. Homer Taylor invited twenty-five friends and neighbors to her home to hear a talk and share a cup of tea. From that modest beginning, a tradition of friendship, service, and community took root on the North Shore.
Over more than 130 years, the club has grown into a vibrant organization of women from Kenilworth and surrounding communities. We gather each month from September through April at the Kenilworth Assembly Hall for programs that inspire, connect, and delight — from fashion events and guest speakers to hands-on workshops and evening socials.
Philanthropy has always been central to our mission. Each season we donate to local organizations and host collection drives benefiting neighbors in need across the North Shore. We are proud to carry forward the legacy of the Isabelle Lovedale Memorial Fund and the Fannie Manierre Ware Memorial Fund, both of which continue to support at-risk children in our community.

Philanthropy
Annual donations to local nonprofits and member-led collection drives throughout the season supporting food pantries, foster care, and families in need across the North Shore.
